# What information do I need to provide when opening an account?

The data is listed below in the order in which you need to enter it in the Clanq app.

**Step 1:**

-   Salutation (_Mr or Mrs_)
    
-   First name
    
-   Surname
    

**Step 2:**

-   Date of birth (_minimum age = 18 years_)
    
-   Place of birth (_city and country, does not have to be in Switzerland_)
    
-   Nationality (_does not have to be Swiss_)
    

**Step 3:**

-   Mobile phone number
    
-   Employment status (_select from a list_)
    
-   Tax liability in the USA (_if you are liable for tax in the USA, unfortunately you cannot open an account with us_)
    

**Step 4:**

Finally, enter your address. **Only addresses from Switzerland** are permitted, as our customers must be resident in Switzerland.
