# How can I set up a standing order?

Set the frequency of a payment

A **standing order** is a payment order where you instruct us to **regularly transfer a fixed amount** to a specific recipient – automatically and on a set date.

### How does a standing order work?

-   **Fixed amount**  
    You set a constant amount of money (e.g. 100 CHF for your piggy bank).
    
-   **Fixed payment date**  
    You decide when the amount should be transferred (e.g. every 1st of the month).
    
-   **Regularity**  
    The payment is made automatically at a specific interval  
    (monthly, quarterly, yearly, etc.).
    
-   **Unlimited or limited**
    
    -   Unlimited: runs until you change or delete it
        
    -   Limited: ends automatically on a specific date
        

This is how you can set the frequency of a payment in the Clanq app:

1.  On your home screen, tap on «**Payments**»**.**
    
2.  Then select the field «**Bank transfer**». If you want to set up a standing order for your child — «**Internal transfer**»
    
3.  Choose the recipient from your list.
    
4.  Enter the amount and then set the frequency and the end date.
    

Then the same transfer will be made automatically.
